Last Light On Athabasca Falls

Uploaded: November 29, 2007

Description

This is an image from near Jasper called the Athabasca Gorge. When I arrived here there were hundreds of tourists off the bus so I returned here later in the day when the sun was setting to catch the last light coming into the canyon. This is not the type of image I am very good at but I need to broaden my skills. This was a very tricky exposure and hard to get right as the canyon was very dark where the light was not shining on it and very bright where the sun was. So I bracketed the images and blended them together for exposure.

Thanks for any comments or suggestions

Well ,What ever you did made this is extremely attractive photo. I love the exposure on the water and the detail even in the darker shadows is very nice and the lighting is perfect.
