Kevin Mcneal

Friend, fellow photographer and multiple betterphoto.com winner Kevin Mcneal. I met Kevin through a photography contest site when I was just starting in photography. I liked his work so much that I wrote him and asked if I could wash his car or mow his lawn in exchange for photography tips. He laughed, and told me I didn't have to do that. He's given me great tips along the way, and on this trip, he was teaching me about my new 5D. I found the waves at Ruby Beach can sneak up on you. I rode 3 hours home in wet pants.

Darien...this is outstanding. I would love to know how you do it! I too love to work with the Nikon wireless lighting system...Your Gallery Rocks! #5058519Darien D. Chin November 11, 2007
Thanks everyone. This shot was very simple, and took only about 30 seconds. I had a 3373/SB-26/white umbrella, all of which I had carried down on the side of my lowepro, and just hand held the lightstand from upper left for the shot. Got ambient where I wanted, then fired off my strobe. Adjust light output down a notch and clicked this pic. Thats pretty much it. #5059097Barbara Sharts February 21, 2008
I was going through some older photos and saw this. What a nice capture of Kevin in a location he's done great work with. It's nice to put a face with all the amazing work. Too bad you didn't include yourself here! Your work is much to be admired as well.-Barb #5528948
