The Sky is Green

Uploaded: October 24, 2007

Description

This was originally made out of
a stack of eleven eight minute exposures. When I stacked all eleven,
the star trails became so overpowering
that I felt the image lost something.
So I tamed it down to three exposures,
a little more than twenty minutes.
The clouds were sporadic, sometimes
covering the sky completely, but
the image gives me a nice feeling.
Taken at Arches NP. The green sky color is due to forest fires in Colorado.

Thanks Carol. It's nice to get a comment on this one after so long.
If you try doing trails, email me
and I'll send you an article I wrote
on the subject. #7139999

I just love this with the star trails and the hint of light from I think a RV(?) And thanks for the explanation; I will have to try this myself sometime. #7155493
