Dad

Uploaded: July 31, 2004

Description

My Dad was a photographer in the 1920's and 1930's. I recently puchased an Epson 4870 scanner which allows me to scan large negatives. This photo is from a 75 year old negative of my Dad's! This image looks new and brought tears to my eyes as my Dad passed away in 1983. It's like having him close again.

Hi Kerry, what a great portrait of your dad. You did a really nice job of printing it. I only have one photo of my dad, it is not near the quality of this photo. My dad passed away 28 years ago. I would treasure this photo for ever. Very well done. Pat #679646

I think it nearly brings tears to all our eyes. What a great photograph from so many years ago.As an amateur family historian I realise the personal importance and excitement in finding some of these old shots of our parents, grandparents and other family members from so many years back. What a delightful shot and you have done just so great work to reproduce it for us to see.Its made my Sunday. #679794

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. It's a wonderful gift to be able to enjoy my Dad's photos so many years after they were created. He was a very special man.

Kerry, what an amazing photo and I'm sure that it brings back a flood gate of wonderful memories. In this day when family does not seem to matter, those of us who had great parents and loved them as they deserved are by far the luckiest of peolpe. This will be a wonderful gift to those he left behind... #802165

It is a great photo, the negative was well preserved. I have a few negatives from my family, from about 1927, I am going to do the same.
It brings tears to my eyes also.
