The wheel bug, (Arilus cristatus (Linnaeus),... a large member of the assassin bug family, is named for the saw blade-like protrusion on its back and is beneficial in ridding pests like this Japanese beetle. When handled, their bite can be more intense than a bee sting. (Nikkor 55 mm, Provia 100)
