Who's Viewing Who?!
Uploaded: July 22, 2004
A zebra longwing appears to be checking ME out at the Brookside Gardens butterfly exhibit in Wheaton, Maryland. The zebra longwing is found commonly in southern Florida (and is the Florida state butterfly), and roosts in flocks with its relatives. It is such a sound sleeper, it can actually be picked off its roost, and later returned without waking any of the rest of its family. Handheld, natural light, mid afternoon, autosettings, manual focus, Canon 100mm macro lens.
