Description

An Atala butterfly, found naturally only in Southeast Florida. They are approximately 1" x 1" and are poisonous to those who would feed on them. They can actually be touched and even then are reluctant to fly away. Mid-afternoon, natural light, handheld, autofocus, autosettings, Canon 100mm macro lens.

Wonderful macro image Jay - love the detail, colours, composition and lighting! Thanks for telling us about the Atala butterfly too - very interesting indeed! Well done... #147966
