This photo was published on page 1 of the Northampton Press newspaper. We had a big, bad storm Aug. 17 and I took this pic of the cloud formation. The storm was freaky. First the trees blew one direction and we had a small downpour. Then it stopped and the sun came out for about 2 minutes. Then it got dark and the trees blew the opposite direction (but our garden flag did not move at all as if there was no wind!) Visibility went down to about 10 feet and we got hail the size of nickels. Leaves, branches and furniture were all blowing around. I shoulda taken pix of the flying patio umbrella but I missed it :-)
