Nikki this image does great things to the eye as you scroll up and down. It has terrific design elements and is also very well presented in black and white. As to what it is...it looks architectural to me. #4661284

Michelle L. Frick August 17, 2007

My first thought was the side of a building, but now you have me stumped. Whatever it is, you did a great job with its presentation. #4663113

Well, you were right the first time, Shell--and Melissa, Donna and Mel saw it, too. Mel's giving you a clue. The image is rotated so if you tip your head to the left--or your monitor to the right--you will recognize balconies on the righthand building, a hotel, I think. These buildings are in downtown San Francisco, seen from the Embarcadero, and it was that honeycomb shaped façade slicing down the center of this capture that first caught my attention. I'm sure someone will know exactly what buildings these are. Thanks so much for looking and commenting, everyone. #4663155

Fantastic capture Nikki. Who said we have to look at everything right side up anyway?? LOVE the lines and patterns and especially the tones here! #4663392

Mitch Spence level-classic August 19, 2007

Absolutely terrific choice of framing here, Nikki. And the black and white is so very effective in emphasizing the lines. Even when doing the "tilt" it's a bit mysterious, which adds greatly to the interest. #4669539

Awesome Nikki, love it!! #4669574

Hmm ... is it the Hyatt Regency Hotel? I think that might be it. I should know, I worked in downtown San Francisco for many years. Fantastic job, Nikki! The more I visit your gallery, the more impressed I am with your work! #4678675

Chris Budny level-deluxe August 21, 2007

What a terrific mashup of great building lines! The balconies and windows are just "generic" enough, that your rotation doesn't create an immediate "this is wrong" kind of feeling for the buildings... it makes a great little visual puzzle, and fantastic geometry presentation! #4679062

Susan M. Hembree August 23, 2007

I agree with Chris on this, Nikki! It's a terrific design element shot! Good eye on seeing this one. #4690251
