Description

It was a quiet night at the neighborhood bar. Natasha had just finished an amusing anectdote when the crack of a shot disturbed the laughter and....
Musings from a series in the style of film noir. This image was inspired by Edward Hopper's famous painting. I shot this series in Lisbon and liked the setting because of the low light levels at night, the long shadows, and the shiny Portugal stone paving that looked wet no matter what the weather was like. Shot at a higher ISO to give some noise to mimic old film grain, except I used a low iso here to blur the face (for movement) and to keep the composition smooth, as I think Hopper might have done..
