Built in 1156, Jaisalmer thrived on the caravans that crossed India's Thar Desert in ancient times.

Oh...My...Word! First of all, love your deep blue sky, secondly, this desert scene is spectacular! The 'city'looks so 'intimadating' even from a distance! National Geographic would be so proud.... :) #4569677

Thanks so much, Dianna. The city is not at all intimidating. It is filled with incredible buildings that seem lace-like in their detailed carvings, and the people are friendly. One problem: this shot was taken in May when temperatures regularly hit 115 degrees. :)
