Hi Jim,
Excellent photo - in fact, it's a perfect choice for the "Where in the World?" quiz for BetterPhoto's free PhotoFlash newsletter!

Hi Jim, My guess is Angor Watt in Cambodia. Paul Means takeitforgranite@zoominternet.net I love the storm clouds behind the beautiful colors on the girl.My first thought was that it was an opera set. Great shot! #6131666

Very beautiful, the clouds give it such movement and adds that real touch! I would say, Mymar! Reminds me of the beautiful song from "South Pacfic". #6132162

Hi Jim,
It's Angkor Wat , or somewhere else in Cambodia . This amazing architecture comes from the 12th century - the era of the great Khmer Kingdom . I like very much the costume of the folk dancer . And , of course , the picture is perfect !

Hi Jim,
It's definitely Bali, Indonesia. It's an amazing place. I spent 12 winters there doing business and photographing, some years ago.
Bali Bagus!!!

Hi Jim,

Looking at this more carefully, this could be Barobadore, Java, Indonesia. The temple ruins there are in the same style as Ankor wat, and amazing, especially at sunrise or sunset, and before all the tourists come. This a great image Jim. #6135324

O.K. It has to be Prambanan,Java, Indonesia. #6135336

Hi Everyone,

Rieno was the first one to guess this location and then Jeff came to the same conclusion. It's Prambanan Ruins in Central Java, Indonesia. It is a 1000 year old Hindu site. I hired a Javanese dancer to pose for me in the ruins. Her costume is similar to what the Balinese wear but it's nevertheless unique to Java.

It always amuses me that very few Americans know that Java is a place, not just a coffee. Go into any Starbucks and ask the young people who work there where Java is. Usually you'll get a response like, "Oh, it's a place?" The number of people who live there are about the same as all the American's east of the Mississippi.
