Dean, I have to ask....how do you "reverse" a lens? Am I right in assuming you actually used two lenses for this photo?

yes there are 2 lenses ... 105mm macro normaly on camera + on top of 105mm simple put reversed 50mm ( top of the lens on top of the lens ) and fix with tape or whatever .. f-stop on 50mm must be fully open or it will vigneting !!
reversed 50mm funkcion like magnifide glass ... dof is bad , few mm so you need lot of light for high f stop as posible on macro lens ( on 500mm is f-stop is full open ) and you must shoot from very small distance few cm , but you get huge magnification this way ...
