Hello Doug,
I saw this shot on Editors First Pick too, I am new here so I don't know what it exactly means .. But I like this shot too. I noticed the long exposure due to the f-stop probably. Always difficult to capture movement with long exposures. Maybe next time you can first take a movement shot like this and then ask for the surfer to stop moving for another shot. you can pick the best one.. I like your shot, colours are nice, stars around the lights.. Well done! BW Corné #4480955

Thanks the comments and your interest in my photo.

I had been waiting a while for the surfer to come out of the water, so I wasn't to concerned if he was a bit blurry. I was lucky. He was walking away, but stopped to take one last look at the waves, and that’s when I took the shot. If you look close you can see his foot prints in the sand.

Thanks Doug, I noticed the footprints too. A professional photographer once told me he shouted: get down to people and he shot his photo. Afterwards he went up to the people and explained and appoligized but he said the light was perfect.. I was thinking to his story.. Colours are very beautiful! #4482318

Hi Doug,
Thanks for your email. I am sorry but I don't have a lot of shots to upload. Still shooting film and scenery overhere isn't that great, no ocean f.i. or mountians.. or lakes.. even sunsets are a problem to get an interesting shot..
