Just saw this in Editors First Picks--really cool action shot, Chris. The sharpness, especially of the board and his legs and feet, and the POV are fantastic--looks like he's coming right off the screen at me. Love the concentration on his face, too. #656675

Thanks Nikki! I never knew I got an editors pick... wow. The dude will be stoked when I tell him about this. We had a blast last evening on the ramp.

It was the first full session after resurfacing, and the skaters were super excited.

Shot settings are 1/160sec, f/9, ISO 200, flash with a mini softbox held off to the left with an off shoe cord, late evening light coming from the right side.
