Description

Findhorn Bay, Moray, Scotland, one of the most difficult beaches to photograph. There are virtually no features to use as a subject and one is reduced to using attractive patterns in the sand and of course light. These serve well enough to create some glorious shots but just occasionally with a few higher tides the beach is scoured and reveals old buried groynes and posts. I found this one and quite literally made it the center of attention.

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, F22 at 4 sec's, 0.6ND grad, Velvia.

No question that you have made the most of the post and the light here Ian and I think the stones and the ripples in the sand add a great deal of interest to this. Love the lavendar and gold color palette. I think this is a lovely photo. #646424
