Description

Cove Bay, Hopeman, Moray, Scotland. It draws me like a magnet from May onwards when the sun sets far enough around to cast it's warm light over the pale stones. The water is exceptionally clear and you can see the stones below the surface which adds to the 3-dimensional nature of the scenery. Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, 0.6ND hard edged grad across skyline and 0.45 ND soft edged grad across sky and sea. Metered off immediate foreground stones. F22 at 4 sec's, Velvia.

Another magnificent capture, Ian! The soft lighting on those smooth stones is oustanding, and helps guide the eye right to the colorful horizon. It looks like a magical place; I can understand why it draws you there. #4196987
