Glenn,

I very much like this photo. I love your work, especially your "glowing" pictures. However, if I had the oppurtunity to shoot this scene I think I would've used less "glow". I am so sorry, I am terrible at the technical side of this. What I mean is the picture seems a bit washed out, like maybe too much color was comprimised. Hope you understand what I mean, otherwise it is a beautiful shot.

Hi, America:

I truly appreciate your comments.

If I were to re-shoot this image, I too would expose the image just slightly differently, perhaps.

Although I did underexpose this image by 1/2 EV, I would probably increase this level by another 1/2 stop so that it were underexposed by 1 full stop. It is a tricky call, however. By underexposing this image by a full stop, I may darken the colours too much., thus, exposing for a bright white highlight with no detail.

What made this shot so difficult to take was the strong reflections off the water. They were nearly pure white in the scene and having very little detail in them.

Cheers,
Glenn

Glenn,

It's a beautiful shot nonetheless. It almost look as though it is a watercolor print which shows you are quite the artist. Good luck in the contest, I'm sure you'll be a winner.
Thanks, America #809

Congratulations, Glenn. This image has a wonderful, "painterly" feel to it. +Guy #1096
