Skye Birch Moonrise.

Uploaded: April 16, 2007

Description

Location: Skye, Scotland.

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, polarizer, F16 at 1/4 sec, Velvia.

A lone birch tree photographed in strong late afternoon sunlight is framed neatly against the dark grey shoulders of the mighty Cuillins of Skye. The shimmering birch tree dripping with autumn gold provides the centerpiece while a pale moon rises slowly into a pure blue sky.

Great capture of the beautiful Skye scenery, Ian! I have a few images of Dunwegan but they were scanned from film. I would love to return there one day. This time with my digital camera. #4172587
