Description

Shot hand held in the bright early afternoon sun, on the Illinois River on a bank edge... set on auto... due to the over brightness of the early afternoon sun a small lens flare appeared... it enhanced the photo and gave great play for creativity to add even more digital flare using PS... thanks for viewing and any comments

Jill this is a beautiful shot. The lense flare adds just the right touch, and the color and detail is excellent. Wonderful capture Jill.

I know this is a duck, but I agree with Susan, it looks like a swan! This reminds me so much of the Ugly Duckling, it has a magical fairytale feel to it with the flares and the great water! it's beautiful! #493892

Actually Jill, these are in reality Canadian "dwarf" swans and they are extremely rare, except up here in the great white north,eh… (he, he, he…) This is a magnificent photograph, Jill, and the effects are stunning. The lens flare is an excellent adjunct to an already attractive piece, Exceptionally well done - Allan #493914

well wow thank you everyone... but I could be wrong Allan but I thought the same thing when I first saw them but then many came to lite at the same boat stall location and when I asked someone there said no they are ducks and you could tell this by their feet... altought you can not see their feet in this... lol but maybe the person really didn't know... so thanks Allan...I will try to post more later of many that I shot that day... and again thank you everyone am so glad you enjoy it as much as I do :) #494082

Allan L. Whitehead April 20, 2004

Jill, that was a bit of a joke. We DO have Canadian "dwarf" swans that look like ducks, but they are so extremely rare, that no one has ever seen one, eh… (he, he, he…) Allan #494235
