Description

This is a painted photocollage. I assembled 4 separate pictures and then painted them with color and smudge brush. I hope to include the originals so you can see what I started with and what I did. However, they are on another computer in a different location, so if you come too soon, they won't be posted yet. I took the original pix with several different cameras.

Thanks so much Deborah, Rakesh and Melissa for your kind comments! I appreciate your faith, Rakesh! LOL! Melissa, I had the idea while in the Cranbrook Science museum looking at those models, but I had no idea how difficult and time consuming it would turn out to be! The models were behind glass and I could not capture them well. They were taken solely to play with to make this image, and I intentionally chose a poor shot for the background because, as I mentioned, they make better smudge subjects, I've found. The dragonfly one I used because it was relatively easy to remove from the shot. #4050651
