Oh this is gorgeous James - a wonderful capture!! You could not have sprayed this azalea bloom and got anywhere near the effect that the rain has given you here! The petals are just so heavy with water droplets, and yet (as you say) the flower still looks incredibly delicate... This shot is a REAL keeper James - well done!! #102746James R. Thanks so much, Carolyn. The bloom does look as if it is on the verge of collapsing, but is holding strong! You're right, too, that spraying the bloom could NOT achieve the dispersion found in the shot. I was lucky to have found it! Thanks again! Jay #404465Lori Ditlefsen March 02, 2004
Nice detail and clarity James. Well done. #404538Bonnie C. Lackey March 02, 2004
Just stunning. The background so nicely frames the bloom and the rain drops are a real bonus. #404951Patricia A. Kuniega March 02, 2004
Really gorgeous James! The clarity and detail of the water droplets along with the wonderful contrast of a red/green backdrop makes this superb! #405265Carol Brill March 02, 2004
Wonderful capture of the delicate beauty of this flower, James, and a nice life lesson about how something so fragile can contain such inner strength! Just lovely! #405347James R. Jackson March 03, 2004
Lori, Bonnie, Patricia, and Carol, thanks for the many, varied, and humbling comments. After reading your comments, Carol, I'm tempted to change the title of the photo to "I Am Woman." Keep shooting! Jay #405893Susan Jane Allen September 18, 2006
