Twiga Portrait

Description

Twiga is the Swahili word for Giraffe. f/10, 1/250, ISO 200, Lens: Canon L 24-105 at 95mm, fill flash used because of back lighting. Taken in bright sun in the middle of the day. Can someone remind me of the name of the effect which causes the white halo when the subject is a long way from the bg?
