Hi Carolyn, It's just a temorary set- back.. I'll be back to myself as soon as the weather warms up.
Thanks for all of the comments on this image. This type of photography is so off track from what I usually do that I was very hesitant to post it but, it never hurts to experiment.

I really appreciate the feedback!. #368858

Hi everyone; THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Hi Maria, I didn't flip the image upside down. This is the way it was composed in the camera.
.Thanks for the comment. It is a very intersting observation but it never occured to me that it looked upside down. #369619

Hi Donna,
I grow them as a hobby, so I happen to know them very well -- because of that I could easily tell - that's not they way they are supposed to grow :-)
Thanks, #369625

Donna R. Moratelli February 09, 2004

Hi Maria, I don't know them very well at all and I don't know which way is suppose to be up.

I just started shooting orchids recently .
It started with a job for the newspaper for the orchid society and I thought that they were a good subject to shoot on the side. I shot this image from above and this is the way it turned out. DOes it really look that bad? I thought it looked like a face. If you use a tripod with a large ball head you can compose a close up to make a flower look like something else and that's what I liked about this image. #369646

Love it! I don't know why but it gives me the same impression as when I look at a
Dali painting, even though he never did orchids. Mom

Oh, I love these colors!!! Great shot!!! Can you tell me what "36+12mm extension tube" means? (is it a 12 mm extension tube, or what is the "36" part?) Whatever it is, love your work on these orchid shots!!!! #405287

Hi Jean, Thanks. I used two extension tubes. The 36 is a large extension tube and the 12 is a small one.
