Description

I wanted to create a photo with a dominant gray. The key features of the photo are the contrast of the smooth background with the leathery cup. Also, attention was given to various spot-lights to create area highlights and rim lights, these were made with Paint Shop Pro. The streaks (straight lines in the photo across the cup) were made during the shooting, where the cup was moved during a long exposure (2.5 seconds), with a flash at the end of the exposure. The grain is intentional, needed to add to the contrast of subject and background.
