Let's Call it a Day

Uploaded: August 27, 2006

Description

It had been real stormy this afternoon/evening and just about dark the rain slowed down to almost quit but not quite...ya know what I mean...But we set out for ice cream at this shop that had great soft serve, which was just about three buildings from this marina and while were sitting there the sun peaked out of the clouds and the sky looked spectacular so we took off for down the street. I immediately set up my equipment (I didn't get to finish my ice cream, my hubby finished it for me, what a guy huh, but oh well look at my reward). At first I was trying to capture a silhouette and was using the Kelvin WB at 10,000 to boost the oranges to show what I saw, but then put it on evaluative metering and got this, so I wanted to make the water look like a piece of glass so I had it on Av mode so I went all the way up to f18 to get 30 sec. exposure to smooth out the water. Post processing while in Camera Raw I lowered temp in camera raw to 3700 and got this spectacular image f18 @ 30
