Under the Hood
Uploaded: August 25, 2006
About to enter the car I had a premonition about the little feral kittens (5 weeks old) that love to
play underneath - climbing up the tires, etc. We then opened the hood and lo and behold - there were 6 darling kittens underneath. I ran for my camera and photographed most of them. They were on their way down and quite alarmed as they are not domesticated. Happily, we haven't hurt any of them and I have to drive my car less as they are sleeping under the hood every afternoon.
They come to me when they see they see my bowls of evaporated milk and kitten food arriving. They also allow me to take lots of photos of them jumping and playing in the garden. If I can capture them they will be neutered.

Awesome capture! How sweet of you to care for them! #3213491Nadya Johnson August 25, 2006
Oh! WHAT a SHOT! Love this, Ellie!! Not so safe a place to nap ... We had some when we moved here and now they are house cats but it took some time to tame them down. In fact it didn't happen quite in time, so we have some newer kitties, too! Hope you'll manage to neuter these ok. The ladies in particular. Otherwise -- well, you know what happens!! But once they're tame they are such dears, and it's great of you to care for them! #3213647Jagadeesh Andrew Owens August 25, 2006
Bravo to you for neutering them, if caught! Bravo, I say! #3213701Crystal M. Gove August 25, 2006

Thank you all for your comments - Yes, they are still residing in the car, so we drive the truck instead. Today I gave them a large brown bag with a little dry catnip in it - They were a riot! Unfortunately, my camera is out for repair and my new one hasn't come yet. I used my old movie camera instead. Thanks again for your interest.Ellie #3227455

What a wonderful picture & how lucky that you thought to look under the bonnet, for them & you. I am so pleased to hear that you will get them de-sexed, I'm very proud of you. Have you got any cats of your own? I also look forward to seeing & hearing of their progress. Good on you=^..^= #3749404Susie Peek-Swint March 05, 2007
