ANY TIPS AS TO HOW TO GET THIS DETAIL IN THE MOON? I'VE BEEN TRYING FOR YEARS, ALL I EVER MANAGE TO GET IS THIS BIG WHITE BLOB. BEAUTIFUL SHOT YOU GOT THERE.

Thanks, Ange! I took a shot of just the moon one evening as it rose over the hill in front of me. It was early evening, still light from the sun, which was low on the other horizon. It was a nice round, full moon, so easy to "clip" out and "paste" into another photo of my choosing, which is what I did here. I took the photo of the moon with a 300 mm lens, so my light meter was just focused on it... it metered correctly for the different shades within the moon since it practically filled my lens. However, if you are trying to get the moon with it's shadows, you might try changing your exposure compensation to a minus one or two. Email me directly and I can help you with that. #3208025
