3 Phone Booths in Big Sur
Uploaded: August 21, 2006
Cell phones don't work here usually, so this is one of the few places I've seen working phone booths. I used some filters to change the colors.

Thanks, Ken... I almost didn't "see" this photo, but as we exited the restaurant, I noticed these on the wall. I had to make a few changes so they were more symmetrical (the wall ended on the left just a bit too soon, but they were all side-by-side). I had fun with the filters, as you can see. #3200928Kaz Sommers August 25, 2006
Who usually think of taking pictures of phone booths, only some of the best photographers around, you see things, this shoot reminds me to stop and take notice of things around me more.Diana L. Ralph August 25, 2006
Thanks again, Kaz... especially for the comments about the "best photographers around". I am sure that I'm not, but it's very kind of you to make such a wonderful comment. I almost walked right by this, but backed up and said this is kinda cool, and since digital "film" is free, it's so much easier now to just snap away! #3213161Kay Beausoleil October 01, 2006
Such an unusual treatment of a normally boring subject, Diane -- you've done a superb job of the colours and the composition! #3394830Diana L. Ralph October 01, 2006
Thanks, Kay. I submitted it last month, but the competition is pretty stiff here at BP... some GREAT photographers here - I gain inspiration and lessons from them all... I'm going to resubmit this for this month. #3396261Ivan Chacon November 04, 2006
