Field of Poppies

Uploaded: July 14, 2006

Description

I came across this small field of California Poppies on the north end of Los Alamos. I wanted to try out my new super wide angle lens. I took the usual landscape images including the entire field and the surrounding hills, but I really liked getting down as low as possible and filling the frame with the poppies and contrasting sky. The result (maybe a bit busy) shows off the abundance of blooms. 10-20mm, f/22

Wonderful capture, Tim! I like the way, as far as the eye can see, there is nothing but poppies! #484041

Great shot, looks like you all had more poppies then we did here in the Antelope Valley :-) #3028803
