Moonset at Sunrise Temple Version 2

Uploaded: May 30, 2006

Description

This is two shots taken a few minutes apart and in the same location composited together. The moon was setting just to the left of this frame.

In this version I flipped the moon to more accurately reflect how it would look in relation to the sun's position.

I realize that this is not meant to be an absolutely 'realistic' picture, but to me, it would be much more pleasing if the moon weren't so large. In some cases you can get away with this kind of thing, but from the angle that picture was taken there's no way it was nearly that big. Sorry, huge artifical moons are my pet peeve. Besides, the rest of the composition is excellent and stands on its own... #2931388

Dan I appreciate your feedback. This started as an experiment, I tried it with a smaller moon, no moon, and this version; and this has proved the strongest to the most people. It's not for everyone, which is why I have the other versions, but this is still the strongest of the series in my opinion. #2935947
