First of all I LOVE YOUR GALLERY. I was wondering in this wedding photo how you got this deep coloring to it and there was another in your gallery of black and white wedding photo, I think they were standing by a fence the guy was laughing, how did you get that neat black and white color to that, it's amazing. It really caught my attention. I hope you don't mind me asking. #576651

hi Julia,
this was a filter called Midnight Blue as part of the Nik Effex 2.0 filter plug in for PS. I have no idea how to do it manually I'm afraid. I'll see if I can find the photo you are talking about in BW. In the meantime, here is a neat link to a site with lots of free actions that you can play with. THere are some midnight actions on that site too which aren't as punchy as this but still lovely. oh - and they are free http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm
also try the Xero filters - they are also free but you'll have to google them. #3734620

aha - I know the photo - that was an action called Shadowsoft bw by Craig Minelly (not free unfortunately but great actions), I have painted back details and tweaked somewhat. #3734636
