Description

This photo was taken at Harbourfront, Toronto, just after the lights had been turned on at dusk. I noticed that there was a reflection of one of the light standards in a puddle near me and took this picture. Camera: Olympus C-3020Z

Your composition is very original!
I like the colour contrast and the textures, as well as the Ying/Yang effect...
It looks like egg yolks on a bed of coffee beans!!! (lol)

Gerda, this must be my favorite among your photos. The strong texture of the asphalt under the water, topped by these simple little reflections makes for a wonderfully simple and effective photo. Very nice! #275542

Thank you so much, Mary. I'm very sorry to be so late in getting back to you, but when I tried to respond yesterday, I kept getting error messages.
I'm very glad you enjoyed this shot. The lamp standards we see reflected in the photo are history now, I'm afraid. Harbourfront has been given a facelift, and the standup light standards have been replaced with small, illuminated squares embedded in the concrete walkways. They look OK, but I preferred the standards. #722382
