Ok... it's a little freaky. Cool.... but freaky. How exactly did you do it, if I may ask?? You amaze me with what you do with pictures. What programs do you have??

Yeah, I so I think I would title it something about "The Comfort of an Old Chair". But that's really too long, I suppose. #2553341

Thanks for the comment, Charity! :) I think I like for my Digital Art to be slightly freaky for some reason... haha. I use Photoshop 6.0 ('ancient version!') almost exclusively. I have occasionally used other plugins in the past.

Well... took a pic of the chair, then took a picture of myself using sort of the same perspective, and then a pasted my eyes and mouth onto the chair. Erased around the edges. Burned a little on the right side so the lighting matched. (Since the light is coming from the left side, the right side should be darker.) Added the cat and some shadows (one of the keys to making a composite image not look 'cut and pasted'). Then I did the usual stuff, Curves and color adjustments. Wasn't a very complicated one, actually.

Hope that was informative. I just came up with a title sorta. Still thinking! Thanks again for stopping by... :)

LOL! I thought that the cat was in the chair to begin with! Wow. You really are incredible. Did you take classes to learn to do this stuff, or have you just taught yourself?? I'm just teaching myself (as you pretty much know), so I'm wondering if there is hope for me, or if I need to go take some classes. #2553484

Oh good! I'm glad you were 'tricked' by the cat. I was afraid I hadn't done a good job with it. I tried to get the cat to sit in the chair, but she just wouldn't, so I had to take another pic of her and paste her in.

Nope, I haven't taken any formal photography classes. I'm sure there are benefits to doing so, but I learn a lot better by experimenting, looking up info when I need it, and studying other people's photos that I like. Every person needs different things though. There is definitely hope for you, silly! You're already showing lots of potential. You just have to find out what's best for you!

Nancy,
Ethan (my husband) thinks that you need to title this "Cheshire Chair". Ok, I know I didn't spell that correctly, but you can fix it. Anyway, I thought I would pass that on to you. (grin) #2554441

Nancy Grace Chen March 20, 2006

Oh YES!! That is PERFECT!! Tell Ethan I said thanks!

Thank you for the compliments, William, Nobi, and Judy!
