You need to think about the lighting here. The picture just isnt sharp enough. Try again. #2500618

Since Michelle is obviously somebody you know try again. She looks like she was having fun anyway. You have a window available try using that to light at least the 1 side of her face. Then use an off camera flash to fill in the othe side. Right now her skin is white on one side and orange from tungsten lighting on the other. #2501778

Eddie and Darleen, Thanks for the comments. Now that it has been pointed out I notice the poor lighting. I was trying to take the shot using only lighting from a window, I have put off buying a cord (or wireless trigger) for my flash, I better just get one already.- Mike #2503903

Hi, Mike,

Maybe I should be, but I am not as bothered by the technical difficulties of the lighting, I am just awed by what a wonderful *portrait* you have created! Michelle looks so happy and so full of life and even though the lighting isn't perfect, you, the photographer, have *captured* in your photograph what makes Michelle so special. That smile of hers is *wonderful* and I have not seen as good a portrait in the sense of capturing that sort of thing in numerous pro websites I have looked at here on BP. #2631677
