Wow, SO delighted to be first to tell you how much I LOVE this photo! It is particularly meaningful in light of the passing of Coretta Scott King, who influenced all the women of my generation so much! remendous, dynamic extremely artistic work, Norm!

Thanks very much, Candice!

It's strange how this image just seemed to come together after fiddling with it for the entire weekend. I just kept looking at it untill suddenly I realized what I was looking at.

The strong color and clean design makes this really pop, Norm! #2389248

Hey Steve, thanks!

I have a new book that I've been reading and would like to suggest to you entitled, "The elements of graphic design" by Alex W White.

Its a fascinating book (to me at least) and kind of helped me put this one on canvas.

With your artist background you probably know most of what this book addresses, but for me, it puts a face on a lot of intuitive stuff and gives me a sense of being involved in the step by step construction which being a Piscean, I need!! (big smile)

WOW!
I just discovered your gallery.
THAT'S what I want to do when I grow up.

Hi Ron!

Thanks for the enthusiastic response and for taking the time to checkout my gallery. It's really appreciated.

Took a peek at your work and was most impressed. I'm on the road now with my laptop and it takes forever to move from one thing to the next with dialup. As soon as I'm home I will definately go in for a deeper look at both sites.

Hey Pat!!

Thank you for taking the time to view more of the gallery. I think it kind of shows the direction in which I'm moving.

I'm down in Florida at the moment with my laptop/dialup so I've not posted for awhile, but I have been shooting quite a bit. I should have alot of source images to work with when I get back home. (smile)

See you soon!

You get an amazing focus on the main subject in this picture. A strong concept well worked out! The red and black give it a lot of expressive strength. Well done, again! #3658671

Thanks Robert!

The idea was there, ready to be expressed. The color combination came about because I thought that it set the image off right. In other words I was working intuitively

Now that I've begun to study colors and color relationships, elements of design etc. I am better able to understand how to present an idea effectively... I think! (big grin)
