Thank you, Emile. I appreciate it. I am working on PSCS and don't know if PS3 has the abilty to make a stamp. I am going to check. Meanwhile I will attempt a step by step of what I did using a different photo (since I didn\t save the steps before.) I will start with this photo of an orchid. #2352412

Step 2: remove the object you want to make into a stamp. Increase the contrast if necessary so that the details show up. Or enough to see the object clearly. #2352431

step 3, under edit, click define pattern. You can also define a brush or a custom shape. I usuall do all three. #2352436

Step 4: Once you have defined the brush and pattern presets, under edit, stat and NEW file and using the BRUSH setting (after you select brush click on the drop down menu of cloices and scroll to the bottom). Then, selecting different colors and intensities, and sizes--whatever appeals to you, stamp the design on the paper--that is, the new file. This one has lavender in two opacities. One size. #2352453

Step 6: What I did in this one is to use the PAINT BUCKET set on PATTERN to lay down two pattern layers, bubbles and my newly defined orchid layer. Then I stamped some orchids on. It's a little busy. For each design, you have to find colors, sizes, opacities etc that work for a pleasing composition.

PSE2 does allow you to define brushes and patterns, under edit, Brushes have to be smaller than patterns or the choice won't light up. #2352509

Here's one more. Black layer stamped with low opacity white orchid brush. 2nd layer with Paint bucket set to pattern of orchid. Paint bucket set to clear to remove white background. #2352641
