American Oystercatcher

Uploaded: January 13, 2006

Description

I was lucky enough to be the only soul on this unnamed island in Gonzaga Bay, south of San Felipe, in northern Baja. This was my first encounter with an American Oystercatcher and needless to say, I was excited!

Thank you very much for all your nice comments! I had an exciting time on the shoot... except when I slipped on some volcanic rock, almost busting my head open, as well as nearly destroying my lens. But, anything to get the shot, eh? Cheers!
