Description

To create a composite like this most easily, select your background carefully. The pose your subject and set up your camera on a tripod to get the focal length and composition you want. With the camera set on burst or continuous mode, have the subject run through the drill while you shoot. Do this several times. Once you have finished, pick the two, three, or more poses you think will work best together. Decide which one will be the background - in this case, the one with the boy farthest away. Now one at a time, layer the others in. I use a layer mask set to reveal to erase (reveal down to) everything in the second image except the boy. Now do the same thing with the third pose. I have to say that I didn't follow my own advice. I took the boy with a lousy background. Then I had to go someplace else and shoot a decent background. It was way more work than it should have been to combine these images. Category: Share Your Post-Processing Technique 2

A lot of work went in to this composite, and I I like the way you caught them all with one foot off the ground. #1739317
