Lone Wolf At The River

Description

It's Autumn and the leaves are starting to fall, a wolf has come down to the water to get a drink and dips his paws into the water thinking that he might go for a swim but the water is too cold. Storm clouds are gathering and it might rain or snow. Fall in the mountains is unpredictable.
I started out by combining several textures to get the sky. The mountain was added as a composite layer, the trees were added by using the render trees filter. The wolf and forground rocks were added as composite layers. The falling leaves were a Pretty action and overlay. The water was added by using the Flood Filter. This image was processed in Nik Color Efex Pro Vivezia and Photoshop's Oil Paint Filter.

Mountain image was taken on the way to Diamond Lake in Southern Oregon
The rocks images were taken at the Southern Oregon Coast
Flying Birds were added with a Photoshop Brush by Obsidian Dawn
