A Butterfly Good Morning

Uploaded: June 17, 2017 | Entered: June 20, 2017 09:58:38

Last year, one of my butterfly bushes grew higher then my 6 foot chain link fence by about five feet. It had a lot of butterfly visitations, sometimes several in one spot. That was the inspiration for this image. It's a warm, late Spring morning. The clouds are fluffy and the light of the morning sun is shining over the day. A Tiger Swallowtail butterfly is greeting the morning and seems to be enjoying the clouds floating by and the birds flying in the sky.
Original image of Tiger Swallowtail butterfly on a branch of a tall butterfly bush was taken in my garden in Southern Oregon.
I applied several layers of texture by using layers in Photoshop CC. I masked out the butterfly and butterfly bush to make them prominent in the image. The image was processed in Nik Color Efex Pro and Topaz Glow and Impression.
The clouds, tree and birds were added with a Photoshop brush.
