House For Rent

Description

My husband made me some bird houses a few years ago and when we got our first snow, that year, I took some pictures of them nestled in the pine trees. Since then they have deteriorated and fallen apart. The other day I passed one that had fallen onto the ground. I decided to try to make something out of one of those pictures. Original image taken in my yard in Southern Oregon. The Red House Finch was added as a composite image and I added a texture selectively by using layers in Photoshop CS6. I turned the image into a Black and White image and then returned the color to the Finch to make him pop against the snowy background and the wooden birdhouse. Texture by Painted Textures
