Art on Campus: Zodiac Heads
Uploaded: June 07, 2015 | Entered: June 07, 2015 12:51:05
Princeton University is pleased to present the exhibition of Ai Weiwei’ s Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads, on display at the University’s Scudder Plaza, in front of Robertson Hall, home of the Woodrow Wilson School, through December 4, 2016.
The exhibit features 12 bronze monumental sculptures, each approximately 10 feet high, 800 pounds, and representing a sign of the Chinese zodiac (snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog, pig, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit and dragon).
The exhibit is part of a world tour which has appeared in cities including Sao Paulo, London, Los Angeles and Taipei. The sculptures have been generously loaned to the University by the family of an alumnus. I had to heavily process this image to counter the harsh midday sun in January.

I dont think the processing hurt you Michelle. I think the textures and tones fit right in with the images. Love the pov, the great control over the lighting, and the detail work on the heads stand out. Gorgeous look. #11315020Mitch Spence June 08, 2015 1
Would love to see these in person. Like the golden tones here. When I looked at the thumb, first thought went something like "Whoops, Vlad the Impaler has returned." #11315128Barbara Waldoch June 09, 2015
