Description

The sun was visible all the way down to the horizon last night because of the clear sky. And it appeared to get squashed on it's impact with the horizon... eventually taking the shape of a football... and then a UFO. The point where the sun sets has moved south by two degrees since the summer solstice... from 305 degrees to 303 degrees. It's starting to set behind Best Rock now.

Quote of the Day: “Once I saw a chimpanzee gaze at a particularly beautiful sunset for a full 15 minutes, watching the changing colors [and then] retire to the forest without picking a pawpaw for supper.” –Adriaan Kortlandt
