Today Kitty Kono (Modern-day Audubon (without killing the bird)) took me and two photo club friends around Valley Forge to show us how she operates and how she gets her shots. Within two minute of walking on the fields, the swampy water had breached my boot, and soon we were all soaked to the skin all the way up to the knees. I was digging gnats out of the recesses of my ears, and eyes. (No ticks found on me yet).

Kitty wa dressed completely in waterproof stuff, a hat, and rubber boots up to her knees. She is a tiny person (that means shorter than I) and carried 20 pounds of gear up and down hills, jumping over creeks, for about three hours (she normally goes longer but we were petering out). She's amazing, with awesome powers of observation. What a fun morning--It rained too, so were were absolutely soaked to the bone--especially feet. I thought of you, getting your dew drop shots! #11045696
