Hanging In The Balance

UPDATE: We had to put our dog Bob to sleep last night. The infection had gotten into the bones of his foot and caused the toe to break off. They could have amputated the toe, but that would have required a very long recovery and months more in that halo collar he hated so much. We decided not to make him suffer any longer. He had hip dysplasia and probably wouldn't have had a very good quality of life. He was 11 years 5 1/2 months old. We will miss him very much.
