Not only is this an amazing macro of a very interesting subject, Stephen. It is also a very nice composition. Well done, my friend. #1559410Jeff E Jensen January 13, 2014
Yeah, I've got nothing on this one. Nice work! #10945670Stephen Shoff January 13, 2014
Thought I'd try for something more unique than close-ups of bug's eyes. Was trying for some fish eyes, though.Glad you like it. #10945712

Amazing shot! Great focus! Did you shoot through glass and how did you avoid reflections? #10946001Kalena Randall January 14, 2014
Great shot, Stephen! I like to go the the aquarium, too. This gives me inspiration to go to the one in Dallas. #10946650Debbie E. Payne January 14, 2014
Wonderful shot, Stephen. Such beautiful color and love that you filled the frame with this. Your photography never ceases to amaze us.It kind of looks like a flower but as for Rita's remarks...(are you still speaking to me...I forgot to call. I'm aiming for tomorrow...)-- I almost, but not quite, lost my train of thought which isn't uncommon for me these days. What I should have said at the start is "Yes, Rita...if you were in Japan, it probably WOULD be a dessert. Martin and I ate some really weird stuff when we were stationed in Northern Japan on Misawa AFB. #10946810

Beth -- yes, I shot through glass. I don't recall having much problems with reflections on any of my shots. Generally, and particularly on this shot, I was very close tothe glass and shooting straight on. In this case, I was also down low and in kind of a dark corner. Nor did I use flash. This was exhibit lighting and high ISO.Hmm...Sea anemonaes and Japanese dessert..I hadn't made that association, Rita.
Thank you for your kind comment, Debbie, although I think I could have done without the sidebar. I'll never look at this picture the same way again. #10947002

Well, we are getting some interesting stuff this month Stephen and I need to get my act together and also come up with something different. Thanks for giving the info about the lens and addition. I have not the slightest idea of what it is you speak my friend but I just know the answer will come with a few keyboard strokes on Google.. #10947821Sherran Andersen January 15, 2014
That is a cool abstract... I like the colours too. #10947897Michael Kelly January 18, 2014
