Amaryllis ~After the Blooms

Uploaded: January 02, 2014

Description

The blooms were so heavy and leaning on my amaryllis that I had to cut them today and put them in a vase. What I saw once they were removed was the graceful pattern of the emerging leaves. The single image of those stems was beautiful but I took it one step further and made a second copy which I flipped and the layered on top of the original. Once positioned just where I wanted it, I used the "soft light" blending mode and came up with this image which I found to be very pleasing.

Exif: F Number: 4, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/160 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 105.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 6D
