Christmas blossom

Uploaded: December 29, 2013

Description

I took this with my new point and shoot (Canon Powershot SX280 hs) that my husband got me as my "in my purse all the time" camera as I always seem to be wishing I had my camera in situations when I normally don't carry my camera. I guess I am seeing life through my camera lens, and it's not always practical for me to bring my SLR along. Anyway, I was playing with the manual settings using the macro button to get the back of this hibiscus blossom. The sky was completely overcast and washed out in the image. So I decided to play with a cloud layer in PS (I have hundreds of cloud photos!) to see if it worked. I have done very few multi layered images but have always wanted to try it. I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out. Also, added a bit of detail pop in Topaz to the flower layer.

Exif: F Number: 3.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/30 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 500, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 4.50 mm, Model: Canon PowerShot SX280 HS
