Northern Lights

Description

I was not able to get a night shot. It was either clouded over or foggy. I was so hoping to catch the Super Moon. I do this kind of photography often, however, and here is one of my best of the auroras. It was a 30 second exposure on a tripod using mirror lock and the 2 second delay. Aperture was f/2.8, 1000 ISO, at 17 mm using the EF-S17-55/f.28 lens.

Exif: F Number: 2.8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 30/1 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 1000, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 17.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 60D

Thank you, Carol. It's a peak experience for me. Luckily, I live in an area where I occasionally get to have these opportunities a few times a year. #10746155
